Bhutto Buried Today

Is this unusual to bury someone so quickly? I’m not expecting a James Brown style tour, but are Pakistanis usually buried within 24 hours of dying?

And another thing… who killed her?

UPDATE: I’m told that the fast burial is customary.

    For both Jews and Muslims, burial takes place as soon as possible. I wouldn’t read anything into it.

    Now they are saying she hit her head…that is what killed her. An unfortunate accident. Wasn’t the bullet, wasn’t the suicide bomber…oops, hit my head, now I’m dead.

    For Muslims it is customary to bury the person within 24 hours. We have found ourselves in some problems over that before (mainly in Afghanistan) where we didn’t want to release bodies, yet they want them for their religious beliefs.

    I’m glad you were informed about Muslim burial practices and amended this entry accordingly. Over on HuffPost Harry Shearer’s conspiracy-mongering — about the lack of an autopsy and Bhutto’s rapid burial — has really brought out some choice crazies.

    It’s a bad situation, but it’s just a symptom of the total clusterf— Pakistan has become.
