Disgraceful

BAGHDAD (AFP) – Three US soldiers have been killed in Iraq, the US military announced on Thursday, making them the first American casualties of the new year.

A military statement said two soldiers were killed in a small-arms fire attack while conducting operations in Diyala province on Thursday. Another soldier was wounded. MORE.

This has to be a mistake. I thought the war was over.

    If I’m not mistaken, the “truce” declared by Moqtada al Sadr ends 3/1/08. That is the real cause of the lessened violence in Iraq I believe. If Moqtada al Sadr turns his dogs loose, we’re right back into a slaughterhouse.So no Bob, the war isn’t over…….
