Let The Bush Economic Panic of 2008 Begin

World markets tanked today. If the experts and economists are correct, the SECOND Bush administration economic disaster will crush everyone tomorrow.

Thanks, Mr. President! Say hello to President Hoover in the rectal sphincter of history.

Fear not! That $250 rebate (coming sometime in March, I think) will save us all!

My grandmother was a young wife and mother during the Great Depression. She spent the remaining 60+ years of her life voting straight-ticket Democratic in every election. If it was possible for her to hate anyone she hated President Hoover. I can think of no more fitting tribute to our M.B.A. President than for the economy to go straight to hell under his watch. Looks like my grandmother’s progeny will carry on the family tradition of hating the Republican party for wrecking the country.

Remember, he got that M.B.A. with a “Gentleman’s C.”He will take no blame for it. Patience, young Jedi. Within 24 hours of tomorrow’s market crash (and I desparately hope it’s not as bad as we all think it will be), various mouthpieces at FOX will start inserting one-line blurbs about how this might be Bill Clinton’s fault. Then it will be about how the Democratic Congress, with all it’s senseless investigations of the Bush Administration, has destroyed the confidence of the American people. There will be more and more about how it’s SOMEONE ELSE’S FAULT, and the usual shift-of-focus-to-something-else will be the Plan of Attack until it leaves the front pages. At the very least, even if they don’t manage to find a scapegoat, they will never suggest that anyone in the administration had anything to do with it.Of course, it will be comical to watch the mouthpieces try to spin it.
