Excellent point raised by Olbermann tonight: If experience in the Senate is the litmus test for who can be commander-in-chief, doesn’t Senator McCain have more experience in the Senate than Senator Clinton?
So why, then, is Senator Clinton raising such a ridiculous idea? If she were to somehow grab the nomination, wouldn’t Senator McCain use her own words against her? Mark Penn is a goddamn genius. I think I’ll start an e-mail whisper campaign in which I lay out a case that Senator Clinton is a Trojan Horse working for the Republicans. I mean, she’s really helping McCain these days. She’s at least helping McCain more than the goddamn president is right now, no?
I’m kidding about the whisper campaign. But the point holds.
