In All Fairness…

…this was really goddamn stupid. Obama foreign policy advisor Susan Rice today:

“Clinton hasn’t had to answer the phone at three o’clock in the morning and yet she attacked Barack Obama for not being ready,’’ Ms. Rice said. “They’re both not ready to have that 3 a.m. phone call.”

No, no, NO!

I think she was trying to say that neither Obama or Hillary were in the POSITION to answer that call, being as neither are the President. Regardless…. just SHHHHH!

I’m sorry – that quote made me laugh even though I know it’s not funny.Oh god, it’s going to be a long 7 weeks.I feel kinda sorry for the Obama campaign. They’re trying so hard, but they seem to nice to really know what “going negative” means.

She’s got a post on HuffPo tonight where she tries a little damage control. While I’m pissed at the comment she made, I think it was more from just not thinking too well on the fly.On that line of thinking though, that Hillary is best equipped to handle that phone call based on nothing more than having been in the White House when the phone rang for Bill -I actually had an applicant tell me once that, no, he had no retail experience but that he knew people that worked at A&F and talked to them a lot.Is that maybe the, uhm, experience she’s talking about?
