    Bob: awesome post, as far as I know. I never considered Bill Clinton to be a real Democrat. It’s been my belief that the real reason he drove Republicans insane(r) was because he figured out how to attract an electoral majority by putting a happy face on all the core Republican policies. He did it by using outstanding communication skills to camouflage his agenda and by managing to avoid overtly expressed racism. He could have been in a position to make the Republican Party irrelevant to the goals of transnational corporations.
