I don’t know. I’m thinking his campaign is VERY hard at work in Penn. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an Iowa-like upset on April 22, or barring that, she wins it by only a razor thin margin, like 2%.

If – IF – BO ties/takes PA, or even gets within 5 pts, I’m sending Bob Casey a box o’candy. And a cream pie for Rendell’s facial.

Frankly, I’m surprised that it’s that close. I lived in York County for about 10 years – I can’t imagine Obama getting many votes there.

I need to clarify my previous comment – York County, PA is EXTREMELY Republican, at least the part where I lived. Democrats didn’t stand a chance. I remember my oldest son during the 1992 election, he was in second grade maybe. They had a mock election at his school and he came home very upset, in tears, because Clinton had received about 10% of the vote of the students and “how could they all be so stupid?” and he was convinced that Bush would win in a landslide. Those students are now old enough to vote and I believe they will vote the way their parents and their grandparents before them did.

I too live in PA. I’m hoping for a surprise Obama win and I think he can do it. I think a lot of folks are underestimating the people of PA. I know of what type of people ceu is talking about because I live in a similar community. However, I wouldn’t count out an Obama win just yet based on those people. If he can win over the blue collar workers and get a union endorsement, he may be able to pull it off, no? Well, we can hope.
