Rachel Maddow PWNS Scarborough

Oh this is beautiful.

The traditional media has been so wrong for so long, I think they’re beginning to crumble under the pressure. Please let that be true.

Democracy Now, and the most excellent Amy Goodman, have Glen Greenwald on today’s program. It will be broadcast on the East Coast again on Link TV at 6 pm tonight.

I was watching. Joe had his say, it was Rachael’s turn and he interrupted. She wasn’t happy & let it be known & held her own. When it was Joe’s turn to respond, he was all pissy about how he doesn’t engage in Crossfire-style commenting and really tried to scold Rachael. It was uncomfortable to watch, yet strangely entertaining ’cause he didn’t have a clue how foolish he looked. I didn’t realize he’d walked off, though, and Rachael made light of it at the end. What Rachael said was interesting – I didn’t catch all of it, but it went something like this: on the guilt-by-association thing, it’s only an issue if the other side makes it one and how come no one’s talking about McCain’s ex-campaign worker (manager??) in Georgia (? I can’t remember which state) having been caught in a police sting in a public bathroom. Why isn’t anyone asking McCain about that? That’s part of what caused Joe’s mini-meltdown…he doesn’t “talk about what happens in public bathrooms”.Anyone have any info on what Rachael was referring to? I haven’t heard anything about it in the MSM.

CEU, he’s talking about Florida State House Rep., Bob Allen (R – Merritt Island), who was convicted of soliciting sex in a men’s room in the Veterans Memorial Park in Titusville. More HERE.I heard Rachel say on her Air America show that she hadn’t been able to hear Scarborough say why he was so upset because somebody was talking to her through her earpiece. Sounds like somebody got his itty bitty feeling hurt. Poor baby.

Thanks, Eclecta. Yup, that was what she was referring to – Allen was a Florida co-chair for U.S. Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign. And he was willing to pay a whole $20 for sex in the bathroom. Sheesh!
