Slash And Burn

Senator Clinton can’t win. And if she were to win by nefariously convincing superdelegates to tip the scales in her favor, she’d lose the black vote in November and Senator McCain wins. Congressman Clyburn agrees:

Mr. Clyburn added that there appeared to be an almost “unanimous” view among African-Americans that Mr. and Mrs. Clinton were “committed to doing everything they possibly can to damage Obama to a point that he could never win.”

She’s in it to win it in 2012.

Any one listen to Olbermann tonight? Clyburn is on and KO opened it with the theory that Clinton’s aiming for 2012. Sounds like people in high places are agreeing…

Bob, I am sure this “in it to win it for 2012″ is just the pundit meme of the week, sort of like the talk about a “dream ticket”. Unless, that is, Hillary is “in it to win” the *Republican* nomination in 2012. In fact, I don’t see why she just doesn’t go back to her Republican roots: after all, the Clintons would look positively clean and moderate compared with the typical Republican politician these days. Just like Bill Clinton looked positively progressive when compared with Orval Faubus.I can’t see how Clinton remains a viable candidate in 2012 after creating so much trouble for the Democrats in this primary season. Sounds like an idea Mark Penn is floating. Regardless of what Atrios and Josh Marshall and others say every so often, the Clintons are *not* really popular with every day people, let alone with the Common Clay Of The New West.

    I absolutly agree
