Jesus. I was just having the same conversation with the bartender here. Hillary really believes that moderate republicans and democrats will vote for her if she plays her cards right, no matter what. What I found tonight in Philly (that I already suspected) is those that vote for her are, admittedly, uninformed. Those that vote for Obama are well informed or intentionally educated. The impressive bartender (Karen) brought up the fact that they’re more afraid of the informed Obama constituency than they are of the man himself. A well informed passionate public is much more dangerous to the status quo than one single campaign, no matter the circumstances. Imagine a multi-million man/state army that wasn’t beat down and distracted by Hillary and the long primary. McCain would be a fucking joke to everyone. Just as JP said earlier, unfortunately, race is still a huge factor in the way this election is unfolding, while sexism remains a prop.

I’m almost to the point of betting money on this crazy idea of the Clintons running as a spoiler third party in the general.I’ll bet you $10 they don’t.And if the day comes that I have to PayPal you that $10, it will be the least of my worries, because at that time I’ll know that Hillary is effectively putting John McSame in the White House.
