Counting Florida

Sam Stein:

Two sources, including a high-ranking official with the Florida delegation, have confirmed that the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee (RBC) reached an agreement last night and will seat the state’s entire delegation but give each delegate half a vote

Tomorrow’s reaction from the Clintons: Florida doesn’t matter.

Today doesn’t matter, Bob. It’s all smoke and mirrors. They’ve known for the past two months that they were going to take this to credentials in August. They’ve been planning this probably ever since they had their asses handed to them on Super Tuesday.I’m willing to throw out there, good Democrat that I think I am, that a Hillary Clinton Administration would also be Bush’s Third Term. It’s the same attitude. They’ve created their own reality and everyone else’s be damned. It’s the same mentality that allows the current occupants to look right into the camera and say “everything’s fine. We’re winning the war. NCLB works. We’re rebuilding New Orleans. We don’t torture…”"We’re winning the popular vote. We won Florida and Michigan. I’ve got national security experience, I’m more readier than he is, my husband didn’t secure the nomination until June, blah blah insane argument blah blah…”With any luck the Obama campaign will ignore the hell out of her after today. Since she wont go away gracefully, she needs to be marginalized by her “opponent.” Let her enjoy her big ass bowl of sour grapes from the sidelines.

Finally, FINALLY, one of Clinton’s representatives (Blanchard) said he would respect the decision of the Rules Committee. Not too many folks buying it…

Looking forward to the Clinton’s campaign assertion: A national election doesn’t matter. Hillary Clinton is now the President. If only these Secret Service chaps would let us in… jerks.

That’s it, then. Florida seated with 1/2 vote for each delegate, pledged & super.
