Not sure if HP will post this, so I’m posting it here. Cheers and keep up the good fight. The thing that Kristol / McBush are hoping for is that Americans–who are notoriously not good with “numbers” (think 1,000,000 killed since we invaded Iraq)–won’t care about 11,326 deadly attacks on the McBush watch, because, and this is the really horrible part: *The attacks happened OUTSIDE the United States, so who cares?” Bob, that’s really the underlying assumption here, and the almost unbelievably inhumane and accidental subtext for the Bush foreign policy (that no one brings up anymore), to wit: “We’re killing tearrists over there, so we don’t have to get killed by ‘em here.” Iraq is a metaphorical mote; a big gory sandbox where we can keep an eye on ‘em! This not-so-subtle evil plan actually resonates with the hoopes: “Hey, them Iraqis ain’t like us, and they don’t seem to ‘preciate our liberatin’ ‘em from Sa ddam, so, screw ‘em. Heheh, at least we ain’t fightin’ them tearrists on God-blessed ‘merrrican soil.”* Bonus! Our plan drew evil old Iran into the mote too for a conveniently generated an pretext for attacking them too! As you might say “Awesome!”
