I work with (worked, actually, he’s since retired) a Vietnam Veteran who received 2 Purple Hearts.He was outraged at the Republicans in 2004, and considered the “purple heart band-aids” an insult.

What’s more disgusting is that they were wearing these things while idolizing a rich, cocaine-snorting, legacy/frat-branding asshole that wont account for his National Guard-skipping whereabouts while many young Americans were earning a Purple Heart…PS – I’m a little disappointed to see that the Obama campaign bought into the faux outrage at General Clark’s comments. Just a little.
