We Don’t Torture

LONDON (AP) — The U.S. government has photographic evidence that a Guantanamo Bay inmate was tortured with a knife after being taken to Morocco by U.S. forces, a British human rights group said Tuesday.

Reprieve said their client, Binyam Mohamed, had his genitals slashed repeatedly with a doctor’s scalpel while in custody in Morocco after he was flown there from Pakistan by American officials in 2002. It also said his U.S. captors later took pictures of the abuse to show authorities that his wounds were healing.

Goddamn. Apart from being an atrocity, it makes all the fuss about waterboarding seem tame by comparison.

    Dear God.Wonder if those photos disappeared along with the videos of waterboarding and other torture. I’m thinking yes.Reprieve is the group that put out the report that the US gov’t acknowledged keeping 26,000 “detainees” about prison ships. This is beyond appalling – it’s abscene.I want them gone and I want them gone NOW.

    Let’s hoist the Bushies up into these stirrups and see how fast they start singing about all the lies that were propagated and the slime that was brewed over the last 8 years.I honestly believe we need to have details standing by to take these bastards into custody immediately the moment Obama takes the oath.
