I’m speechless.

MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) — A car plowed into a weekend bike race along a highway near the U.S.-Mexico border, killing one and injuring 10 others, police said. The 28-year-old driver was apparently drunk and fell asleep when he crashed into the race, said police investigator Jose Alfredo Rodriguez.

The drunk driver was an American. Jesse Campos of Brownsville, Texas. Quite possibly one of the Worst Persons Ever.

    Astounding and appalling, isn’t it? One cyclist killed, I read earlier today.Don’t they have some sort of barricades or road blocks when races are taking place? Aside from the driver being a total fuck-up, don’t race officials take precautions so fuck-ups can’t drive into the racers?And…how about you? Have you recovered fully from your being hit?

    Thanks for asking, ceu. My back is still bothering me — mostly during the wee hours of the morning for some reason. But I feel like a jackass complaining about it, considering that horrible scene from Mexico. Holy crap on a stick.

    Hey Bob, have you seen a doctor about that? It’s probably the way you’re sleeping. I’m no doctor, but I do have a PHD in back pain. I’d suggest trying to sleep on something hard, but I’d ask your doctor first.
