And The Field Narrows – Part 1

(I double posted this one, but I didn’t want to delete your comments along with the post, so I’ve renamed it. The bulk of the content is in Part 2.)

ADDING: This might sound like a hedge, but, if memory serves, no-one predicted Cheney, Lieberman, Quayle or Ferraro.

No one could have predicted Quayle.I’m gonna float Wexler.

I think he should wait until closer to Convention. Let McCain’t choose first. Let the whole country watch as two Republican candidates fail miserably at challenging one secret Muslim manchurian killing machine that poops on flag pins.

Agreed, Nano. I’m willing to wait ’til the convention. The CM isn’t, though. :(

I could actually see him picking Hagel. He’s a big fan of Lincoln and his surrounding himself with his political “enemies”. Hagel is practically a RINO. What would be totally interesting is if he does and then McCain picks Lieberman…

I don’t think there’s any news up there, really. Bayh, Biden, Clinton, Sebelius, Dodd, and Kaine have been the major six names for ages, and especially since Webb removed himself from consideration. Reed’s the only one who hasn’t been CW since forever. “It’s going to be one of the people everybody thinks it is, but it might be someone else, maybe” seems like typical WSJ filler.I’d cast my bet on none of the above, myself.–d

It can’t be Hagel – not for VP. He does not agree with liberal positions, his voting record is abysmal as far as civil rights, gov’t reform, etc. He’s rated 0% by NARAL, 8% by the AFL-CIO, and supported Bush 95% of the time. Seriously, check out his record – it ain’t good if you’re a liberal.http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Chuck_Hagel.htm
