Congress Has Two Parties, Right?

Fail:

Congress
July 16 Gallup
Approve 14%
Disapprove 75%

But just a quick a note to any very serious haircuts who might be passing through… There are two parties in Congress. The Republican Party is one of them. And I hear-tell that every time the Democrats want to pass a law to give children free health insurance or to reduce military tours of duty or to solve the climate crisis or to tax oil companies, the Republicans block or “filibuster” the legislation. Sometimes the Republican president vetoes it.

Our Democratic leadership is often pasty and ineffectual, but the Republicans own much of this disapproval number.

I have nothing to say on this subject, really; my opinion of Congress is that it will continue to suck death-gas-bloated donkey sac until it has been purged entirely of the Baby Boomer Uberdouche, the Fat White Fuckhole that still pines for The Good Old Days when a little black boy ran out and filled up your car with cheap gas and you could still beat your wife between martinis. These are the people that are killing American politics, the puffy-eyed, dewy-jowled and bowel-challenged old farts that liked America best when it was kicking brown people in the asshole under a proudly waving The Flag™. Congress will never, ever operate properly or with approval until these slobs are mercifully shuffled off this coil and packed off to hell where they belong.Having said that, I just noticed that the rather angry Uncle Sam in your stolen Logo Image appears to be packing a bundle over his shoulder in that majectic The Flag™ a’la Santa Clause. I’m going to be spending some time wondering what an Angry Uncle Samta Clause might bring down the chimney for good little Patriots in this day and age.

Sorry, I have the Tim Allen Christmas movies on the brain and so misspelled “Claus” repeatedly. While that in and of itself doesn’t make me retarded, the fact that I own those three films on DVD absolutely does.

Add me to the list of disapprovers. I was the first in line in December 2004 saying, “Give them a chance. Now that they have the majority, they’ll move forward on holding Bush’s feet to the fire and ending this damn occupation in Iraq.”Well, I was wrong and all the “they’re filibustering us!” garbage is is just that: garbage. Pelosi and Reid have shown themselves to be spineless leaders, just exactly how they get portrayed by the Republican opposition in every election. And you know what? I’m sick of it. I want LEADERSHIP. Read my lips, Dems: LEADERSHIP. Get out in front and lead this country and quit being in reactionary mode. I don’t give a rat’ss ass if you’ve been in that mode for 8 years. Get off your asses and LEAD.This is one of the main reasons that Obama’s campaign has me so excited. He’s actually showing LEADERSHIP. Our party needs some lessons, methinks.
