They aren’t fond of what is considered culturally gay – the girlishness, perhaps. The concept that gays are submissive and weak. However, when they do not-very-Mariney things together (and I have a few gigabytes of it…), they rationalize it by declaring that they themselves are not gay and they’re just doing it for money.

It sure seems that way. I finally watched the first two episodes and appreciated the line of one Marine pointing out that their conversations seem to center on homosexual talk and how everything was so “homo-erotic.”
