Optics Matter

The McBushies need to learn a thing or two about visuals — optics.

Senator John McCain hit back at Senator Barack Obama’s trip to Iraq on Monday when he scoffed at a news conference at the Maine vacation home of the first President Bush that Mr. Obama “had no military experience whatsoever’’ and that he was “completely wrong’’ on the war.

Obama? In Iraq solving tough problems created by incompetent Republicans.

McCain? In Kennebunkport vacationing with incompetent Republicans.

(Adding… Since when does military experience equal presidential quality? President Grant won the flippin’ American Civil War, and yet he was a totally ineffectual president.)
