Accident Prone?

Who else thinks that Cindy McCain’s various injuries aren’t always “accidental”? TBogg goes there.

I’ve been thinking about this recently. Does that enormous cast on her arm look like the appropriate treatment for a so-called “hand-shaking injury”?

Put it another way — if she suffers another injury and she explains it with the excuse, “I fell in the shower,” I think that’s when we start to ask some serious questions about Senator McCain’s explosive temper.

    I’m sure she’s gotten in the way of his temper, but what if it’s carpal tunnel syndrome? A cast can feel awfully nice. Back in the day I wore one when I rock-climbed full time.

    It is a huge cast for a supposedly strained wrist – and she had to take a trip to the hospital for it.Friction, the article linked by TPC said that the hand-shaking had “agitated a pre-existing condition with carpal tunnel syndrome” and that she “has had several surgeries for her condition”, so you may be right. But – and this will sound bitchy, I know, and I apologize – what did she ever do that would cause carpal tunnel syndrome in the first place?     Or there’s another reason. I don’t think Cindy is above throwing herself down a flight of stairs for an injury to get some of her “happy pills.”

    Since I used to work in an emergency room, Cindy really hits home. We would have looked at the possibility of her being a “pill shopper”. Of course the right would get all up in arms over this assessment, but if this was just Joe citizen then the question would be raised – that or perhaps some form of domestic abuse.

    WTF? What’s wrong with Chuck Todd? He was just saying that Obama/Biden is a mirror image of Bush/Cheney and now McCain should start pointing out that McCain’s not like Bush–Obama is.Is Todd’s hair and goatee really red or is it just slathered in BBQ sauce?

    Tennis wrist, Paddy? Possibly – but does she look like she plays tennis to you? And you’d think that even if she did play, she’d have stopped after the first surgery – why would she need “several”? Just askin’, not arguing. :)

    i had said something to my husband the other day while watching footage of cindy mccain, glued to her husband’s side, as always, and sporting her cast. “seems like more than just an over-exciting handshake injury to me.” and then there’s that infamous temper.

    I’d have to look at a replay, but I’m pretty sure at Saddleback when McCain talked about the line in the sand, the camera went to Cindy and she had this look on her face “Oh no you di’ent!” like she could’nt believe he was repeating that false memory. Was the cast before or after Saddleback?

    Well, I’d be suspect of the pill addiction! My second, and hopefully last, marriage ended in divorce after 17 years because of my wifes addiction to pain killers which began due to a spinal injury.Of course to function at all she then had to get ahold of some “uppers”, and then some Valium, and more pain pills …………. and more and more and more!I hate to Pick on Mrs. McCain (addiction is a serious illness), but Obama tried taking the high road and the McBush team decided to make this a “low road” campaign so decorum is out the door!OTOH, maybe it’s true that Republican’ts are just such brutish thugs that they break a fragile womans arm simply shaking hands!

    I really don’t see evidence of people actually viewing this situation as funny; more like very suspicious in nature. Pointing out that McInsane has a verified violent temper is not making funny.

    I think you’re making a pretty slanderous jump there. Accussing anyone of spousal abuse without actual evidence is profoundly hurtful. I’ve often observed that the Republicans run their campaigns like the lowest divorce lawyer runs a case. If democrats can’t do better I’ll find another party.
