It is sad for Elizabeth. But honestly, could the Republicans have gone after that so easily seeing as how John McCain and Newt Gingrich were pioneers in the field of cheating on your sick spouse?There goes his chance at AG, too. Would have loved to see him in government going after the bad guys.

I am confused about the Timeline of this- so was he having an affair when he was running? before he was running? ( so that makes it okay? so he ran when Elizabeth was fighting cancer?) and he had an affair , but admits he did not love her ? Really disappointed to hear confirmation of this story – the affair. Hate to play devil’s advocate, but has anyone considered that perhaps Edwards and his wife have/had an arrangement? It’s not as uncommon as you’d think, and because we live in a puritanical society, it’s not likely something they’d bring forth.Sayin’ is all.
