Isn’t it interesting? More anchors, pundits, and political “experts” across this nation discussed this non news event today, as if it were somehow significant to the discussions or topics adults should be having.

Hey, that’s the media these days. They take a story, occasionally one that might be slightly interesting, and do it to death until you never ever want to hear another word about it, then they do it some more. Look how long they went on with Rev. Wright. Day after day, the same people saying the same things about the same film clips etc etc etc.

How many excuses do you think they need to show a blonde in a bikini? I expect that by 2016, all political ads will feature Paris Hilton.That said, this more effectively ties that “culture of celebrity” thing around McCain than it ever could Obama. Obama just draws the crowd; McCain made her politically relevant.–d

You have to admit, though, that Paris’s energy plan is a lot more sensible than McCain’s. Of course, the bar wasn’t that high to begin with…
