The Barbecue Race Card

On Morning Joe, Joe and Mika are just laying into Senator McCaskill about Senator Obama “playing the race card.” Yessir. As I wrote yesterday on the Huffington Post, here’s a perfect example of the barbecue media accepting and repeating a McBush Republican frame as the control group and demanding that the Democratic Obama campaign — the experimental group — accept the frame and defend itself against the charges.

In other words, it appears as if Senator McCain can accuse Senator Obama of being a space alien from the future and the Obama campaign would be forced by the media to defend itself against the charges.

    There is a petition created by some of the folks at OpenLeft.com to get Clark on the ticket. I signed it, and invite everyone here to do so as well. Of course this is Obama’s decision, but if there is a groundswell of approval for Clark, and if Obama actually likes Clark based on his other criteria – maybe this could have some influence?http://www.obamaclark.com/
