Don’t Panic

There’s been a lot of nervousness out there based on this poll that alleges to show enough Democratic racism so as to seriously tip the scales in favor of McCain on election day.

Don’t panic.

Nate Silver is actually seeing a reverse Bradley Effect, based on his analysis of Senator Obama’s primary performance. In the South, for example, Senator Obama overperformed the polls by as much as seven percentage points.

I’m still not clear on the logic that would suggest a person would say they’re voting for Obama to a pollster, but be too racist to do so on Election Day. It’s not as though a racist couldn’t justify supporting McCain for other reasons (I find that a lot of them do).I really don’t think there’s anything to worry about. Wishful thinking from Republicans. I remember listening to them all tell me that Obama would never win the nomination because of the secret racism of many Democrats.

Democrats don’t have any reason to lie, but a housewife that lives with a guy who sleeps with a gun under his pillow and a photo of Rush on his nightstand…she might be a bit more nervous and less inclined to talk about the big O in public.C’mon ladies…demand satisfaction…don’t settle. Tell all your friends that you want The Big O in November.

I, for one, have always been a fan of The Big O!

I love the big O! I saw this today and it made me cringe a little bit.

There’ll definitely be a reverse Bradley effect. In my southern, red state town, I firmly believe many people plan to vote Obama in the privacy of the voting booth but would never admit it to a pollster, neighbor, friend, coworker, etc.

This kind of stuff is so annoying–it just stokes the fires IMO, and as pointed out, is overstated–I know this isn’t and MSM poll (so to speak), but I wish our idiotic BBQ media would cover the “Ron Paul effect” and the “Bobb Barr Effect” 1/2 as much as they mention the “race card.” Seems like “balance” nowadays is a one way street.

The race card being played is intended to suppress the black vote, in my not very humble opinion. It’s meant to be discouraging and intimidating. In some ways it is.And I’m very proudly voting for Obama, and hoping to encourage others that I know to get off their butts and care enough to do the same.QT

Queen, that’s a VERY powerful insight.I never thought about the MSM pressing the Bradley Effect as a meme to induce it. Wow. It’s not that they’re idiots – they’re propagandists.
