Keith Olbermann won’t be anchoring election coverage any more. Why? Partly because the Republicans complained.

When the vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin lamented media bias during her speech, attendees of the Republican convention loudly chanted “NBC.”

And…

The McCain campaign has filed letters of complaint to the news division about its coverage and openly tied MSNBC to it.

Whah. Meanwhile, on FOX News, the 8PM hour is hosted by Bill O’Reilly and the 9PM hour is Hannity. And when the Democrats complain or boycott, what happens at FOX News? Do they scramble their programming? No way. They become even more aggressive — and they bring in a clock to determine how long it’s been since Obama was on their network.

    The logic for balanced news has become this:Politician lies. One news report calls it a lie, therefore another needs to call it the truth.It’s like money laundering! They can say anything, and because of this “balance theorem” it will be repeated AS TRUTH by at least 50% of news coverage….and when it’s not they can claim bias!!Who the F*CK cares that FOX gets 9 million viewers? MSNBC got THINKING HUMANS to watch them because we can clearly see that there is no corp agenda being imposed. It’s a GOOD thing to make people think!!! AAAARRRGGGG!! If Chris disagrees with Keith or Joe or whomever, we here 2 sides of an issue!!!! Isn’t that THE POINT!!!?I agree we need to watch Keith and Rachel to show solidarity…but otherwise MSNBC is toast.I miss Tim.

    Yeah I am flabbergasted at this, Keith is the only one keeping the election honest…when Obama does something he doesn’t like he takes him to task just as with the republicans. Is it his fought the republicans are always messing up?! NO!Its the media thats not fairly reporting whats going on and taking Olbermann off the election process during this time is doing a huge disservice for the people.

    This is both saddening and maddening! IMO it’s a result of the dumbing down of the general public! Sadly the result also becomes the cause in that it causes even more dumbing down of the electorate!One really must ask themselves, “how could the German people have been so dumb as to buy all the Nazi propaganda”? Well, duh! Make the radical voice the only voice you hear and let the brainwashing begin!Begin hell! What’s the word I’m looking for? I guess what I might be looking for is: Oh. Shit. We’re. Fucked!

    There is no way I’m going to watch this coverage. David Gregory is a terrible choice in that he has no idea how to control his commentators and guests. I predict that the whole show will consist of Pat Buchanan, his voice getting higher and higher, endlessly talking all over anyone else who tries to speak. Including Gregory.
