Lies, Lies, Lies

They’re even lying about their crowds

McCain aide Kimmie Lipscomb told reporters on Sept. 10 that an outdoor rally in Fairfax City, Virginia, drew 23,000 people, attributing the crowd estimate to a fire marshal.

Fairfax City Fire Marshal Andrew Wilson said his office did not supply that number to the campaign and could not confirm it. Wilson, in an interview, said the fire department does not monitor attendance at outdoor events.

Actual attendance? 8,000.

Can someone please tell me why it would be uniwse for Obama to call McCain/Palin “liars.” Bush/Cheney/Rove used it against Gore in 2000 over really trivial stuff like “invented the internet.” Its like there is some kangaroo court where the rules are different for Dems (with the BBQ media on the rules committee) –you’re telling me if Obama was unabashedly lying, the right-wing wouldn’t call him out–and call him a LIAR? BULL.

Bob–What are your thoughts on whether Obama shoud directly call these lies out–the MSM will not do it, and the only way I see to bring attention to them is if Obama directly says “McCain is lying.”–and outlines them chapter and verse. That would essential force the BBQer’s hand.

Lies? Ha. That’s nothing to a party that has no shame.http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/washington/AP-Obama-Waffles.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

maybe not quite lies, but total jackassery:McCain told CNN viewers on September 12, 2002, that he was “very certain that this military engagement will not be very difficult” and, a month later, that “success will be fairly easy.” When asked by Chris Matthews in March 2003 whether the Iraqis would treat Americans as liberators, McCain answered, “Absolutely, absolutely.”In 2006 McCain was one of only seven Republican senators to vote against the Federal Marriage Amendment; two years later he told Chris Matthews, “I think gay marriages should be allowed” when states decide to legalize gay unions. Today McCain not only opposes gay marriage but favors denying benefits to unmarried couples, period.http://www.thenation.com/doc/20080707/altermanjust to name a few…

Just about any jury attending to the McCain and Palin attitude towards truth telling would stop giving them any credibility what-so-ever.I’ve heard witnesses say out of hearing of the judge that anything that couldn’t be proven a lie is the truth. These repubs don’t even have that much respect for veracity.
