    I know Chris Matthews is a fickle fellow, but it does kind of seem like he’s pretty tired of McCain. (From what I’ve seen so far tonight, anyway. I only started watching about 20 minutes into the show and it’s not over yet…so we’ll see. And I’m sure he’ll make up for it another time and go after Obama for dumb shit just so he seems “fair”)

    Chris Matthews is indeed pissed at the republicans for ruining the economy it seems. he spent the first 15 minutes of his show ripping a republican congressman apart for trying to act like he doesnt support bush’s economic policies and abandoning his party name.

    Remember that this crisis is the first to actually impact THE MEDIA! All these folks have stock portfolios that are tanking by the hour. You can see it on the faces of the CNBC anchors when they look up at the board.Not that I’m wishing bad luck on anyone, but I’ve been caught up in the housing downturn bigtime and have gotten used to being “just screwed”. It’s been supremely frustrating to watch talking heads bloviate about how it’s the fault of those “stupid people” that they shouldn’t have taken the loans to begin with.Well, to all those gas bags I say “Well, you shouldn’t have bought all those stocks to begin with.”To the rest of us that are out there trying to make it day to day – solidarity. Better days are ahead.

    KO just showed McCain’s exit from his recent campaign event in a car factory, where the workers are chanting O-Ba-Ma. that part got left out of everybody else’s coverage.

    Did you ever see that Far Side cartoon where a student has his hand raised and is saying, “Mr. Osborne, may I be excused, my brain is full?” That’s how I feel after the past few days. The economy. Palin (and all that implies.) McCain going back and forth. The media’s beginning backlash. Seriously, thank God for booze.

    Just watch the first 3 minutes or so. Hillary is sitting next to him and he’s introducing her. Just when you think he’s gonna wrap up and let her speak….right back out of the pits and he’s off again!It’s kind of like an SNL skit set-up. Hillary waits patiently to have her moment in the spotlight, and every time she starts to open her mouth….there goes Joe!!

    Thanks for the full segment Paddy. After watching Cantor I will no longer refer to President Bush as “President Bush” but only “This President.”The fear the Republicans have of This President has finally caught up to mine in 2004. Of course they’re only worried about winning and I was worried about This President bringing his international stupidity to the domestic front. But if we ignore him like Cantor everything will be okay. Sweet, wish I’d though of that in 2004.
