McCain is Mentally Unfit

Posted by JumpyPants

If John McCain were my grandmother, I would be worried about him. I mean, this guy makes senility-type mistakes on a daily basis. FEC, SEC. Spain, Latin America. Iran, Iraq.

And those are just the big ones. McCain no longer talks to the press he so loved to barbecue for — why? Is it out of a fear that his temper will explode all over them in a spitting, slobbering mess? Or is it out of fear that he will start singing “Daisy, Daisy” over and over again in a monotone as he stares into the middle distance?

I’m being snarky, but let me be serious for a moment. If John McCain were my grandmother, I would be talking to my mom every day; I would be getting a CT-scan; I would be writing down all his mistakes to talk to an Alzheimer’s specialist about. That’s what we did when my grandmother starting mixing things up, and losing her words, and having bizarre outbursts of temper. My grandmother died of Alzheimer’s disease.

Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe McCain is fine, just needs a little more sleep. Here’s a way we could find out: let doctors see his medical records. His 1,173 pages of medical records. But John McCain won’t do it.

What is John McCain hiding?

(might want to revise the post – you meant “If John McCain were my grandfather”, I assume, not grandmother. Don’t need a thread full of McCain/grandma wisecracks, eh? Nice post, btw.)

Seems like we all have a pretty good idea what he’s hiding… Thing is, his so-called advisors are so hot to keep power that they’re willing to back this fool and fuck the country.

It’s NOT mental illness! It’s neurocognitive illness! Call your doctor and ask about neurocognitive illness. But, yeah, he’s not fit to be POTUS!I know because I suffer from a organic brain disorder! What McCain is right now is the GOP’s front man for another 4 years of bull-shit!They don’t care who they put out there! They hoped for another Reagan! And, actually Reagan needs to be brought DOWN! He was no saint! He fucked the working man!We need to break this god damn myth about St. Reagan! If not for the ultra religious right the GOP would be fucked! What we’re up against is the conservative rich, the stupid, and the talibangicals!

I think the more appropriate word is TEMPERAMENT. Why the BBQers have not picked up on this yet is beyond me. You have the notorious whispers about McCain’s temper–but more importantly McCain’s negative, lie laden campaign that has pretty much been reduced to him flailing about without any coherent message–contrast that with someone who has been vilified for 19 months, and is still UNFLAPPABLE. The hoops Obama has had to jump through, and all the negative BS–plus having to answer to the unprecedented BS “association” questions (something no candidate has ever had to do–and is IMO tacit RACISM in our MSM)–and in the process defeated the most powerful Democratic machine of the modern era. Jim Webb remarked yesterday on TRMS that if you have any question about Barack Obama’s leadership, one need only look at how he has conducted his campaign over the last 19 months.

    Well said JG!

LiveFreeOrDie08, I would assume that Jumpypants is comparing him to his grandmother because JP’s grandmother died of Alzheimer’s disease.

I’m reminded of one of my favorite Rodney Dangerfield jokes:”You know you’re really old when the family starts talking about you in front of you–‘WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO ABOUT POP?!‘”

BTW, who is jumpypants? Is this an alter ego of Bob’s? I have to say, I would prefer it if Bob did all of the posting–just my two cents.

There’s no question there’s something wrong with him — that’s been clear since the Shiite-Sunni flap in Iraq. It’s painfully obvious now. It’s sad, really. For him and his family. But, obviously, for us, for the country, for everyone, it’s really, really scary. I’m not sure we’ve been this close to the precipice. Bush, Reagan, Nixon — scary stuff. But, this is beyond the pale.

I am glad that you brought this up, I am a nurse- and I too have been thinking there is SOMETHING wrong with him…he takes off every weekend…and almost always he has MINDERS with him, Joe Liebermann, or Graham or even Cindy- there is something wrong with him- look at him in photos- his eyes are glinty- slightly confused…not quite focused…he reads his cards and scripts now…and there are no impromptu interview or questions….there is something wrong with him- and he has lost his judgement….the ads he is running have been awful- did he really approve them ? and yes, if he was a relative I would talking to a geriatric specialist….I mean he picked Palin and the OnLY alone meeting he had with her was to ask her to be VP….

I just wanted to put in a good word for Jumpypants – I enjoy his/her observations. Im sure its not that easy for Bob to keep this blog updated all the time. And btw Bob…your blog is often the first thing I check now…even before HuffPo!
