McCain Lets The Truth Slip Out

Goddamn:

“Opening up the health insurance market to more vigorous nationwide competition, as we have done over the last decade in banking, would provide more choices of innovative products less burdened by the worst excesses of state-based regulation.”

How’s that banking thing working out there, McBush?

I’m deadly serious about this… Ask the question. Anyone you know who is leaning towards voting for this doof, ask them.

UPDATE: Senator Obama responds today:

Don’t forget: Milton Friedman called the Great Depression the Great Contraction, and believed it wouldn’t have lasted so long had the government started producing money willy-nilly, regardless of its intrinsic worth, to keep down inflation and interest, enabling businesses and individual continued borrowing. With the bail-outs, it would seem they’re following his advice this time around to a tee. They believe they will be back on the gravy train in no time, and I am 100% sure that someone, somewhere, is feeding this to John McCain.

http://obamaproject.windonwater.net/?p=187That's my call to everyone to write to their Senators, Senator Obama, and their congress people, to make sure that at VERY MINIMUM we get oversight on this bailout bill. At present, we are once again turning over billions or trillions of dollars to the treasury with NO plan of oversight (nor even any RIGHT of oversight if you read the current language).Somewhat more frivolously, I’ve been all over the site now, and I’m registering a complaint. Why don’t we have a picture of Mr. Cesca on this site? There’s a very handsome picture of him on Huffington Post, but here, nada. I think this should be rectified at once! ;) QT
