McFail

The AP:

By midnight, it was hard to tell who had suffered a worse evening, Bush or McCain. McCain, eager to shore up his image as a leader who rises above partisanship, was undercut by a fierce political squabble within his own party’s ranks.

And what’s going to suffer today? It won’t be John McCain’s fortune. It won’t be George W. Bush’s retirement funds.

Um – anyone watch Bush’s big statement? WTF was that? We sat around waiting for him and got, essentially, “We’ll get ‘er done”.I have my bottle of wine for tonight’s debate – how early is too early to start on that?

Wait till at least 12 noon.

amaraya, I saw it. He said basically nothing, and still managed to say it badly…

  • amaraya

Fair enough.Hey, did you catch that he called it “Hard Work”?

  • recruitgal

I just watched the W statement again.“There is no disagreement that something substantial must be done.”Is it just me, or did he nearly say “something suspicious”.Freudian slip? Or am I just being paranoid?

Amaraya,You haven’t started on it already?

I feel the clock should restart whenever I sleep/pass out… although it’s quite possible I’m still drunk. Because I’m watching the news and nothing is making any sense at all.Claire McCaskill was pretty phenomenal just now though. Explaining that they HAD a compromised plan and that Sen. McCain screwed it all up with his shenanigans. She called it what it was – a “stunt”.
