‘Stop blogging. Stop blogging right now!’

Page One of the New York Times tomorrow:

And four months ago, a Wasilla blogger, Sherry Whitstine, who chronicles the governor’s career with an astringent eye, answered her phone to hear an assistant to the governor on the line, she said.

“You should be ashamed!” Ivy Frye, the assistant, told her. “Stop blogging. Stop blogging right now!”

And much, much more… including:

Throughout her political career, she has pursued vendettas, fired officials who crossed her and sometimes blurred the line between government and personal grievance, according to a review of public records and interviews with 60 Republican and Democratic legislators and local officials.

Sound familiar?

check it out, bob….sherry whitstine’s blog…according to HER palin was jockeying for the veep pick back in april…hiring friends an firing enemies in fine old bush tradition….http://syrin.vox.com/library/post/personal-opinion-on-palin.html#commentsAND a timeline on trooper gate that makes sense:http://www.andrewhalcro.com/why_walt_monegan_got_fired“After the divorce was final in late 2005 things settled down, until last fall.At the request of the court, Wooten and his ex-wife were instructed to return to re-visit the custody schedule. Once the paper work started in April of 2008, the complaints and the intimidation started all over again. But now Wooten wasn’t dealing with just Sarah Palin, he was dealing with Governor Sarah Palin. On April 23, 2008 in written testimony to the court, Palin denied ever making claims against Wooten, when in fact she had emailed a State Trooper Colonel in April of 2005 accusing Wooten of driving drunk.Twice in the last few months complaints were filed by the governor’s office accusing Wooten of improperly using his patrol car. Both times he was visiting his kids at school and both times he had permission from his sargent. The last complaint came in May after Todd Palin saw Wooten pulling out of the school parking lot and six days later the complaint landed on Wooten’s supervisor’s desk.During the legislative session this past spring, Palin reportedly told Commissioner Monegan to fire Wooten because he was giving Troopers a bad name. However Monegan said he would do no such thing.A short time afterwards, it was discovered that confidential material in Wooten’s Administrative Investigation file had been released to his ex-wife and her attorney. This drew outrage from the Public Safety Union as well as the Commissioner. AI files are strictly confidential and can only be released with the written signature of the Trooper, but yet no one could explain how the detailed confidential information was released.Reportedly, both Commissioner Monegan and Colonel Audie Halloway warned that if they found out the file was leaked by the governor’s office, they would pursue charges.Unfortunately, Commissioner Walt Monegan has been fired and word on the street is Colonel Audie Halloway’s days are numbered as the new commissioner brings in those who won’t object when the governor uses the Troopers as her own private security force.”

“Last summer, Mayor Mark Begich of Anchorage, a Democrat, pressed Ms. Palin to meet with him because the state had failed to deliver money needed to operate city traffic lights. At one point, records show, state officials told him to just turn off a dozen of them. Ms. Palin agreed to meet with Mr. Begich when he threatened to go public with his anger, according to city officials.”Yeah, Anchorage don’t need to keep traffic lights on. Genius.

looks like the vetting is now beginning–hopefully cable TV starts picking up on this, and stops propping her lies up without any info or access. The mantra against Obama has been that we “don’t know him.” This after 23 debates and countless interviews.–I still think the #1 thing Obama needs to do right now is hit back hard on the lies by calling them LIES. Targeting McCain, ad by extension, Palin. They need to stop them NOW–because the lies so far will look like a trip to Disneyland when compared to what’s coming. The right-wing will scratch and claw like hell to maintain power.

Sweet merciful crap! She’s a rank AMATEUR . Boy, Karl Rove is going shit his pants with frustration having to help this yokel. Especially since she’s not a fake cowboy that he’s totally gay for.

SNL opening with “Sarah” and “Hillary”

Nano,That’s no rank amateur! She’s been getting ahead her whole life with sharp elbows! The barracuda!!!!!!!!!!!!And the damn conservatives love it! Hit ‘em while they’re down! That’s what they do!Look, they still love to talk about how Social Security is breaking the budget even though it’s the only government program to show a substantial SURPLUS! I’ll grant you that that surplus is going to go away in a few years but the reason for the surplus was to create a trust fund! That trust fund has been squandered! As has the future of every American, and it is the fault of Republican’ts!We need to nail Reagan for what he really was! The first in a long string of fucking liars!

If she attains high office she will have so many new enemies to destroy. It’s good that McCain is making enemies of the press, as well, because it will be good to keep abreast of the upcoming impeachments.

I’ve been preaching that Obama should go negative on McCain, but after hearing my precinct captain tell stories about the undecided in her precinct, keeping to the high road makes more sense. Maybe in your neck of the woods it doesn’t, but in Colorado it does.People are fed up with the low road but should Obama even appear to be taking the low road, that is calling the lies, fpr what they are (lies) that makes him no better than McCain in the eyes of independents.- – - – - – - – - – - – - – -Palin is coming to town Monday at JeffCo Fairgrounds. The “demand” was so high they moved it into the Westernnaires Arena, a god awful stenched filled arena. I’m driving by it today to verify that they are actually cleaning it up. I doubt it because it wouldn’t make sense for a Republican to not be walking knee-deep in horse shit, eh? They prefer to walk on water, right? My best friend lives right above it and has a great view of the Arena and I plan to verify the attendance. I need help though: do I count horse trailers, too? It’s a pretty insecure place. Were I 16 again I would not hesitate to walk in after midnight and put lipstick on the pigs along with “More of the Same” and “Pork for Palin”. But what if some merry pranksters actually do this and I get busted for blogging the idea?Obama has an event at the School of Mines in Golden. I should be there… Peace out everybody: Obama is going to win Colorado.

@kansasdem:She very much is a rank amateur. Dangerous, yes, but still an amateur. Pros like Cheney, Addington and Rove require congressional investigations and the hard work of hundreds of crack reporters to uncover their shenanigans. Palin is leaving a trail of destruction that can be seen easily from the Lower 48 and reported on by relatively small scale bloggers ( and I don’t mean that as a slight).I think we should be looking at her record as a “Hockey Mom” as well. She’s so bad at being evil I’m sure we’ll find out about outbreaks of cholera, flat tires and nasty phone calls in the neighbs of opposing teams. They’ve got to realize how hopelessly outgunned she’d be in any interaction with any foreign dignitary. How are other countries supposed to hate and fear us with this hoople at the side of a President McCain?
