ST. PAUL — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live.

Just staggering.

    You mean kinda like Bush making a big show of flying back to Washington to sign a law stopping the unplugging of Terri Schiavo after signing a law as Governor of Texas allowing the State to pull the plug on folks whose families were too poor to pay for their care?This is why they love her.     Ohhhh, let them turn this into Culture Wars II, The Revenge of the Killer Culture Wars. Nothing gets our Base more energized than fighting that fucking bullshit.John Kerry was one of the worst nominees since Adolf Hitler ran for Chief Jew Killer in the 1929 Jerusalem Mayoral Race and still he only lost by the slimmest of So Not A Mandate margins.     They are trying desperately to turn this into Culture Wars II. They’d love that. For some reason they really think that painting Obama as a 60′s radical (even though he was probably glued to the tube watching Speed Racer and Space Giants (I used to have a crush on Gam), and, oh yeah LESS THAN 9 YEARS OLD!) resonates with their white, christian, hippy-hating base. Remember, these are the people that think we should have carpet bombed UW-Madison and that the students at Kent State got what they deserved.Of course we think that would be farcical at best, but for some reason they think they can win on it.
