Wow – I never realized until I took a good look at the picture of Barack’s Grandfather in uniform how much Barack looks like HIM.And the Republican slime machine mocks him for this trip.

Just a clip from a Kansas paperAt one point in the interview, McCain grew frustrated with a Tampa television reporter during her questions on immigration issues. McCain twice said illegal immigrants who have committed crimes would be rounded up. Katie Coronado of WFLA-TV asked if that meant using raids to round up immigrants.”What did I just say that had any connotation of raids?” McCain said, raising his voice with impatience. “Let me try one more time.”He again explained the idea of forcing illegal immigrants out of the country by issuing ID cards and fining employers who hire illegals. He then softened his tone.”I apologize,” he said to Coronado. “I understand how important an issue it is. I didn’t mean to be flip.”

He does, and he looks like his mother. And another good one, Mr. Stranahan. I haven’t “loved” a first family since JFK (and that was mainly watching the funeral at age 5 and little John spontaneously doing that little salute–the rest was learned later). I love Obama’s family already. He’s every family–every good one, anyway.

I hope Barack’s grandma lives to see him take the oath of office. What a precious day that will be for her. His love of family is one of the things about him that is endearing.
