Senator Obama quote of the day:

“I am surprised that, you know, we’ve been seeing some pretty over-the-top attacks coming out of the McCain campaign over the last several days, that he wasn’t willing to say it to my face. But I guess we’ve got one last debate. So presumably, if he ends up feeling that he needs to, he will raise it during the debate.”

Benen thinks that the senator is deliberately baiting McCain to go down this road. My hope is that Senator Obama has our Liddy, AIP, neo-Nazi questions locked and loaded.

    Of course he’s got the questions locked and loaded! (reference your ‘awesome’ picture of a couple weeks ago, of Obama saying “Everybody chill the fuck out – I got this”). The Obama people are scary-smart and politically-savvy on unprecedented levels. They’re a step ahead of you and I, and 10 steps ahead of McBush and his cronies.

    Now HERE’s someplace that I think it’s definitely worth spending some time heating up the boiling oil for the final battle.As Michelle Obama (my new personal hero) said last night on (IS THE CALLER THERE?!) Larry King: What we need to do is change the way people see politics FOREVER.By the end of this campaign we need to have laid bare the Neo-Con and Conservative philosophies for the morally bankrupt cults that they are. Winning is fantastic, but it’s not enough.

    Totally agree. I don’t know how we got so lucky to have Barack and Michelle, but I for one thank God every day. We Americans have had to live with the shame and the heartbreak that 8 years of Bush have brought this country. I am so ready to shake off that mantle and be proud to be an American again.

    This is a brilliant move–because it is both playing McCain and the media’s expectations.By the way–new “association” narrative. Flipped over to The Loofah Hour on radio and Bill-O is talking about the ACORN association–and voter fraud. Evidently many dead people are voting (meaning African Americans in right wing speak)–LOL. If this is a close race and Obama wins, expect VOTER FRAUD to be the new Fuax News/Limbaugh TP that will miraculously seep into the BBQ media–the same BBQ media that swept 2000 under the rug.
