Favorability

This is remarkable. TIME magazine:

Before the debate, McCain had a 48/46 favorability rating; that improved to 56/36 by the end. But that’s about where Obama started the evening—54/36. After an hour and a half, Obama’s favorability numbers were 80/14. As Joe Biden would say, let me repeat that: 80% of the undecided voters had favorable views of Obama and only 14% saw him negatively for a net rating of +66. Not even Bill Clinton got such a warm response in town hall formats.

It’s the Green Mile factor. That, and newbies to the election are beginning to realize that Senator Obama isn’t a space alien.

Good news, for sure. Though I’m not yet convinced about the alien thing. He looks an awful lot like this guy…http://www.vidiot.com/st-voy/images/VoyagerRuss7.jpg

Good news for Obama for sure. But you still have to wonder how McCain’s favorability IMPROVED at all. That boggles my mind.

CNN reported immediately afterward that McCain’s numbers stayed exactly the same while Obama’s went up on the favorable and down on the unfavorable.

JM–I wonder if the MSM will pick up on this–doubt it. This McCarthyism is so unreal, and our media is enabling it.The media will pick up any TP the McCain puts put there–and then ignores the many against Mccain and Palin.Starting to see a new narrative emerge:”Poor John Mccain–if it wasn’t for the economy, he’d be winning” “That darn economy did him in.” Obviously the economy matters–always has, but Obama has led most of the time, and has run the most forward thinking, paradigm shifting campaigns in the modern era.

Cindy McCain a few minutes ago… Obama should “change shoes”? with Cindy so he’ll know what it’s like to have a loved one in the military. You know, maybe Cindy should change shoes with Carol McCain to really know what it feels like.

McCain’s upping the ante today, Sarah Palin is on the stump today… and she’s letting her hair down, literally! They’re really trying to go for the superficial sexist vote now.

More Palin propaganda on CNN–unreal.”drill baby drill” chants – They may as well be chanting, “I’m a fucking idiot.”

Did McCain just say, I’ve been going across country talking to “my fellow prisoners”?

Memo to Obama campaign. When the MSM asks you about Palin inciting vile hatred–don’t back down! She and John McCain have crossed a line, and they need to be called on it. Bill Burton and the rest of the surrogates need to call them on it, and be VERY firm about this. Mob mentality is a very strong psychological principal and to equate Obama with a “terrorist” is very, very dangerous. I cannot stress this enough–and the MSM has been targeted as well. There needs to be serious push back on this very dangerous ploy by McCain-Palin.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCnO1rsmisQ&eurl=http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/
