The Foo Fighters are going after the McCain campaign for its use of ‘My Hero’:

“The saddest thing about this is that `My Hero’ was written as a celebration of the common man and his extraordinary potential,” the band said in a statement. “To have it appropriated without our knowledge and used in a manner that perverts the original sentiment of the lyric just tarnishes the song.”

Maybe McCain should just use Dancing Queen. Mamma Mia! HEH?! Abba? HEH?!

    Damn I just missed the video.So sad (my ass) that the McIntellectualPropertyTheft campaign can’t pick a decent song without being disowned by its performers. I’m glad all these groups are speaking out. And loudly.

    yeah thats what i want representing me (an artist) someone who openly admits they have “no taste” in “music, art and other great things in life”i suppose If gramps becomes POTUS we can kiss all our federal arts programs buhbye.

    Ok, though I’m not sure of his political leanings, I’m sure Dan Fogarty wouldn’t mind volunteering his classic, “The Old Man Down The Road” for the rest of the campaign.     And CNN don’t know what a super group actually is. It’s not a synonym for “hugely famous band”; it describes a group made up of previously famous musicians/artists. Sheesh.
