Obama 40%
Undecided 17%

If Senator Obama wins Louisiana, I’ll eat a shoe.

    OOoooh, I have a nice old pair of boots, leather, old style with leather strings and a steel toe. I’ve had them since about the Gerald Ford administration and have been looking for some good purpose for them since I no longer wear them. Need mailing addresses if LA pulls this off. And pics–no, come to think of it only Bob’s. Elvis, you’re on your own but get a signed witness (must be Bob).

    This isn’t actually all that surprising, considering the high proportion of AAs in that state. It’s second only to Mississippi, where Obama’s a lot closer than he “ought” to be, as well.

    I live in New Orleans. Another local university (Southeastern Louisiana U) did a recent poll that showed McLame up by 13 points. The biggest downer of the poll on top of the spread was that only 17% of the white respondents said they’d vote for the Big O–reminds me of a recent Onion headline “Struggling Lower-Class Still Unsure How Best To F*** Selves With Vote.” BUT, there has been tremendous early turn-out from the AA community as well as Dems, but then again, a lot of the Dems down here go red on the national level. Here’s to hoping this year will be different. And Loyola is a better school. JMHO :-) .
