Palin Against Rape Victims

Posted by JumpyPants

This is as compelling in presentation as it is horrible in fact.

Who wants to bet Sarah Palin’s done with politics? Time for the soon-to-be-former-First-Dude to start turn that snowmobile racing business into a profitable enterprise!

Yes, the whole “women should bear their rapist’s child” stance is the thing I find most disgusting about Palin. I can understand a person believing that there’s something sacred about life from the point of conception onwards — it is a possible position for a religious person to take, though Aquinas and other leading Churchmen seem to have had complex opinions about the matter. But to insist that if a man decides to rape a woman, she has no choice but to go through with an unwanted pregnancy, THAT I cannot accept. It not only intrudes faith into law and politics (and medicine) in the coarsest way but reduces women to their sex organs; if treated similarly, a man would surely find this kind of reduction intolerable. It’s the ultimate reinforcement of the notion that woman is “the inessential other.” Palin isn’t building a bridge to nowhere — she’s building one to the thirteenth century.

Wanna start a list of disgusting shit about Palin?I’ll start:#1. She’s a liar!

  • LeeroyJenkins

It’s almost mindnumbing, the shameless, disgusting, immoral, cruel methods of McCain and Palin, so it really shouldn’t come as any surprise that she would know about this, condone it and then lie about it.Everything she says seems to be a boldfaced lie, and the ultimate result of some of that lying could be violence against another human being. You think she gives a shit about a few rape victims? She probably thinks they asked for it.She’s a slag. I can’t wait for the time when she’s nothing more than a punchline.

Troopergate is a saga, something like: Mayberry has come to Washington! Now it is also coming to light that it looks like Sarah Palin has been using a Secret Service Earpiece (probably by brickhousesecurity.com) The thin white line coming down from her glasses appears to be a brickhousesecurity antenna and Reuters was refused earpiece checks before her debate with Joe Biden: http://www.youtube.com/…However, she was seen using Flash Cards constantly at her Vice Presidential debate with Joe Biden.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTqdYQ46wMUIs this why she can’t — won’t go on Meet the Press, like every other Vice Presidential candidate who has gone before her? Sarah Palin is a total fruad perpetrated on the American people by the Republican party, who thought they would be able to steal Hillary voters from the Democrats. McCain’s judgment and gamble did not pay off.

These people on the videos “get it” about Palin and her pentecostal control freakishness. I wish the media would spend more time talking to the ones especially in the second video posted by Kansasdem, the “regular people”. The good people of Wasilla who see through her shit seem like fine interviews for the evening circuit. They calmly point out that she is a lunatic.

KansasDem:#2- She lies with the most annoying sound imaginable.

This is one of the things that disgusts me about McCain/Palin. They talk a lot about cutting spending. But cutting spending isn’t always a good idea. Cutting spending means making women pay for rape kits! I believe a lot of spending that they want to cut are for necessary things.

Palin lies about her policies, but to corporate media it’s unimportant. It’s more important to dedicate an entire week’s worth of airtime showing Palin and McCain destroying Obama’s character via false Ayers claims. Then McCain makes 2 statements at a rally saying Obama is decent, and it’s bigger news than the hatred and “kill him” comments.Watch corporate media today. Already they are blowing off the Troopergate decision, by focusing on the line that Palin was justified in Monegan’s firing. And then they play over and over Palin’s spokeswoman’s comments that this was an Obama political move. And after the week of media focus on McCain’s campaign and Ayers, DESPITE the worst week on Wall Street ever, the pundits are saying Troopergate isn’t important because the focus should be on the economic crisis.I must leave to take my dramamine, before I puke on this spin.

P.S. to Kansasdem:Thank you for the link to the 2nd Wasilla Project video. I just can’t stop shaking my head over it.

the pundits are saying Troopergate isn’t important because the focus should be on the economic crisisThey’re right, NotA, the focus should be on the economy. The report reflects on Palin’s character, but it doesn’t have to be pounded. The economy, OTOH…we win on the economy. People aren’t buying McCain’s various shifting plans and they fault the GOP for the mess we’re in. Their 401(k) statements are hitting their mailboxes and they aren’t liking what they see. That’s way more important to their lives than the troopergate troubles.

Does anyone else have trouble viewing YouTubes on Bob’s site here? For me they start and then almost immediately stop. When I then click through to the YouTube page itself it doesn’t work either. I literally have to exit Firefox then reopen it and go directly to the YouTube page. Dang it…

Everybody doesn’t like SarahBut nobody doesn’t like Obama’s lead

To above commenter, I had that problem viewing the video file yesterday, but not today. Not sure what’s causing it — have seen it come up a few times on other sites. Both of the Wasilla videos are excellent, by the way, so thanks much for them. What they underscore is just how much of an extremist freak Palin is, and how dishonest she is in her attempts to seem mainstream. There’s no way she wouldn’t have known about the rape-kit information. The one thing I didn’t know was the bit about labeling herself “the first Christian” mayor. I’ve come across that kind of thing in some of my students, but they seem to say it in a disturbingly innocent way — as in, “Christians say x, while Catholics say y.” They really believe Protestantism is the only Christian belief system; Catholics they must suppose to be setters-up of idols: “devils to adore for deities,” as the Milton line goes. (Though he was talking about “pagan” gods.) I doubt that Palin’s narrow use is so innocent–it’s probably MEANT to wound anyone who doesn’t accept her beliefs.
