If Sen. Obama wins, and Democrats increase their majorities in the House and Senate, will conservatives/Republicans still incessantly try to lecture those of us on the left about what “real” and “patriotic” Americans believe?

Yes they will. Since 9/11, all we heard about was that patriotism includes supporting the president in a time of war — no matter what. The Britney Spears Theory of Patriotism. The Republicans will conveniently forget this if Senator Obama wins — the same way they did during Bosnia and Somalia. I’ll be really interested to hear their excuses.

    The co-opting of patriotism and Christianity over the last 8 years is THE issue that I have against the NeoCons. It’s despicable.O/T: Scary comment from Gergen last night. Youth vote is underrepresented in early voting.Anyone who reads this and knows voters in that demographic: GET THEM OUT, and make them tell their friends!

    Don’t forget the MSM who’ll have a crisis of conscience after the last eight years of Republican cocksucking and will therefore go twice as hard after a Democratic administration. Nice timing, huh?
