Psych!

So the fake narrative that Drudge floated over the weekend — that the race was narrowing — just got its ass kicked today. The Gallup daily is back up to a 10-point margin — Obama 51, McCain 41. Sorry, Drudge. No soup for you!

“We’ve got them right where we want them,” McCain said today.Yeah, this is exactly where he wanted to be 22 days out — behind Barack Obama.Let’s see if we can’t give him more of what he wants, then.

And he’s up in West Virginia and Missouri. After years of election nights when we were all up until past midnight, we’re going to be able to be cozy in bed by nine if we want, happy in the knowledge that the world has just been saved.

Yeah Bob,I saw that bullshit. I was like,”Damn, he just gonna make shit up?!”*rolling eyes*That’s okay. I wonder how the BBQ is gonna conduct itself election night? How they’ll spin it when Obama SWEEPS this fucker???!I’m thinkin’BLOWOUT!!!

BTW,He was here in NC today, and it was supposed to be a town hall meeting. He spoke and left the podium and did not return! Quite comical! The news media was like, “WTF???!”

Up Chuck Todd made a comment this morning that made me wanna smack him (must be Monday!). He was masturbating all over his electoral map coffee table thing. They’re talking about the recent polls and he comes out with “Well I would expect these polls to tighten up again next week when the independents start to come home after the debate.”Start to come HOME? So Chuckie sees the independents as basically Republicans who are just flirting with Obama. These guys are all so disconnected from reality it’s criminal.

And Im thinking the lead is even bigger than 10 points. If you take into consideration that most of the younger voters use cell phones instead of landlines and therefore really arent included in this polling….maybe just maybe….

He just did an interview with Dana “Bush” Bash and ended with a shiteating grin and some plan he will not unveil until tomorrow concerning the economy–maybe he hasn’t flipped tomorrow’s coin yet. I really got the creeps from that grin. It was like he had sex videos of Obama and Biden–together. He drives me insane when he is impressed with something he said, gets that stupid yellow-teethed grimace and kind of wiggles his head. If this isn’t over with soon, somebody please shoot me.

You’d think it would be pretty easy account for this cell phones issue. All they need to do is work with the providers to send 1 text that says “opt in for polling?”. Done. Could even set it up to say which polling companies you’d be open to.I know the reason they DON’T do this is because they already know what the stats would be should they include cells, so there’s a lot of pressure to suppress the data.

I hear you dontpanic. I cant wait for this to be over. Somtimes I dream of being safely ensconced in a beautiful room with no access to the internet, television, newspapers or the phone. Instead, of course there would be things like chocolate, red wine, old Neil Simon movies and more chocolate. (I actually thought of a few other things I would want in this room, but this being a family blog… ;)

Well, looks like those “Obama bin Lyin’” posters in the other entry should read “Obama bin Leadin’.” I’m very optimistic about Nov. 4, and I don’t believe the so-called Bradley effect will be in force in 2008: a lot of the people who won’t vote for Barack due to race seem to be the brazen sort who will just tell pollsters so rather than trying to hide it. Not only that, but the right-wing strategists have already given the shyer sort of fools (Democratic or Republican) a number of ways to pretend their preference isn’t racist. They can just say they’re not voting for Obama for the ludicrous prefab “reasons” they’ve been handed. No need for them to lie and then vote the other way in the booth.

Ah, Cminri, take me away (er, maybe that’s Calgon).

  • dontpanic23

…and when did this become a family blog? Have I wandered into the wrong room? I HAVE a family–I need a BREAK and a place to say this-is-not-a-fucking-family-blog.I feel better now. Thank you.

  • cminri

@dontpanic….you’re right this aint no family blog! But I had to say that cuz otherwise my last line wouldnt have worked! Actually though, some of my family members (including my 10 year old son) have been known to peer over my shoulder to see why Im either laughing hysterically or typing furiously…so hence….its an official non family blog that my family sometimes reads…

Ah, gotcha. I was just yanking your chain but I used to have to watch my language too. Then my kids (as teens) started going to their dad’s house (after 5 year MIA–not a military one, either) and came back talking like sailors which is how their dad’s girlfriend talked. I gave up.
