Robin Hood In Reverse

Oh, yeah, airing nationally! McPalin robbing the poor to pay the poor. Joe Biden won’t let any of us get fooled by that lie.

And even IF they got the $5,000 as a gift from Cindy McCain, seriously, $5,000? $5,000?! For a year of health care for a family?! REALLY?!?

I was SOOOO glad Joe pointed that out last night. But I’m ecstatic that this has been made into an ad. Hallelujah! I hope this is running everywhere, constantly! (Of course, Gwen Ifill’s question to Palin to defend McCain’s proposed tax on health care benefits was ignored…)

Do not fuck with the BidenThe only thing missing was Biden turning to Palin and shouting, “Shut the fuck up, Donny! You’re OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT!”

More importantly, McFailin is banking on the fact that most Americans will think that a $5000 tax credit is equivalent to a tax rebate, which it’s not. It’s simply $5000 deducted from taxable income. Meaning it doesn’t amount to a hill of beans when it comes to meeting the healthcare costs of the average person.

I suppose that to someone who hasn’t gone on the open market to purchase a health plan, $5000 sounds like a reasonable amount. I was so glad that Biden pointed out that the regular price for most plans is about $12000 – so, yeah – giving people a $5000 rebate for their health plan is like giving someone a $100 check and saying “ok junior – go register for college”.
