‘Say It Ain’t So, Joe!’

shoelessjoe.jpg

I’ve been thinking about this today. I wonder if Sarah Palin knows who “Joe” refers to in the famous “say it ain’t so, Joe” lament. Someone should ask her who “Shoeless” Joe Jackson was.

Another Palin thought… The Palin Fanboys are crowing today about how folksy and real Sarah Palin was last night. You would think that with their party crumbling around them due to their previous “folksy” candidate, the Republicans would run like motherhumpin’ hell away from another folksy hoople. Republicans are really, really stupid.

OMG have you seen this hooplehead response today?!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXCT6wli060Guess we now have to add “flexibility” to the Sarah Palin Six-Pack Palooza drinking game.

It’s too bad Joe had to play it nice and say “yes you can call me Joe.” Otherwise we could have seen her say “Say it ain’t so, Senator Biden.”

And btw, someone somewhere on the blog made an excellent point today when they noticed that the innocent “Can I call you Joe?” question was a set-up to enable her to use her zinger w/out retribution. So, folks, this means that her very first words upon meeting a sitting US Senator were disingenuous and calculated. That sends the right message to the world that the McCain administration is avidly in support of good faith negotiation and diplomacy.Where’s my bucket…

Palin doesn’t know a god damn thing about anything other than shooting moose from a helicopter and giving blowjobs to move up the ranks.

“Folksy,” my ass. That act is contrived.

53 “also”s. Nice. I had put it at 847 on my blog. Guess I was a little off… although it felt like 847 times.

    That letterman video is side-splitting.

It really is stunning–the media has almost exactly mirrored their behavior before the RNC towards Palin–They really started putting her qualifications and fitness to lead under the microscop (n the wake of the Couric sioftballs that she could not handle), and a few winks and snarky lines later, and they’re WOWED again.Never mind the POLLING numbers, or the myriad factual errors, or the fact that she didn’t answer one question with ANY detail–and avoided directly addressing most questions. She’s cute ‘n folksy–it’s no wonder we’re i the mess we’re in–we have no press. It really is amazing–anything more then running from the stage in tears was a win in the media’s eyes–Also, Gwen Ifill did a terrible job–she basically asked very general questions, and did not really press for any answers–I think the Republicans worked the ref successfully–Biden mopped the floor with her–at the end of the day even the most rose colored, optimistic, homer reading of last nights debate would be a push–and that is not what they needed–but our media is just so pathetic–

@cmAndrew Sullivan has a good post on it and links to her debate from 2006. You don’t hear any of that, she’s a complete fraud.
