So Awesome

The Obama rescue plan for small business. As a small business owner, this plan is absolutely stellar. This first section in particular:

The facility will be run through the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Disaster Loan Program, which is designed to offer affordable, fixed- rate loans to small firms to meet operating expenses, undertake needed short-term investments, or to refinance debt. Loans should be available on an expedited basis, so that firms
can access the credit needed to meet their operating expenses immediately.

I can’t tell you how helpful this will be to small businesses that are getting killed on credit right now. My hope is that Hank Paulson will pay attention so we can have something like this in the near term.

Yeah, that would be awesome. Too bad Nancy Pelosi won’t champion this type of bailout.I was driving by the St. Julien a few days ago (Boulder) and couldn’t get my window down fast enough to yell “Hey! Nancy McCain!”

P.S. – I’m very glad to see he’s looking ahead to what comes after a (hopefully) eventual win. I firmly believe that every fucking dime of that $700 billion dollars will be spent before January 20, 2009.
