Remember about 20 years ago when Morton Downey Jr. faked an attack on himself? He said he was assaulted by Nazis in a bathroom and they painted a swastika on his forehead. The only problem with Mort’s story was that the swastika was backwards — in other words, he painted it on himself and because he was looking in the mirror, the emblem was backwards.

With that as preface, here’s the the victim of the alleged B-attacker currently emblazoned on the front page of Drudge.

Does the shiner look like makeup to you? And, of course, the “B” is backwards. Who knows. It could be real. It just seems very suspicious to me.

    Um, if you got hit in the hard enough to give you a shiner like that, your eye would also be red. It looks fake.

    May or may not be a makeup shiner, but the backward “B” takes the credibility of this story to zero. Every detail is far too convenient. Most newer ATMs have security cameras built-in.Every day, I am amazed at the lengths to which GOP supporters will go. It would not surprise me in the least if two people hatched this little plot, and one punched the other in the eye…

    If here eye was bloodshot, it may be semi-believable. Maybe she was attacked by a dyslexic? But my gut feeling is this is a fake.

    That alleged shiner shows not ONE sign of swelling. The eyelids are spaced evenly and the ‘bruise’ is the same color as her mascara.We need a word for this fakery. “Piltdown victim?”

    1. Her eye isn’t bloodshot (as mentioned).2. There are no signs of broken capillaries, which is pretty much standard on a black eye.3. He hit her hard enough to blacken up like that almost instantly, but just the lower part of the eye? Nothing above the eye?4. That hard of a hit and her eyelid is not swollen?5. What’s the weird lucking smudge above the B that appears to be the exact same shade as her “black eye”?

    Agreed Intox. Also the B is perfect. If it went down as she says, she must have held VERY still. I’ve had a black-eye, and it don’t look like that!

    On another site where I frequent – there’s a campaign to link to every incident like this in an effort to castigate Obama supporters. I’d appreciate links to as many incidents against Obama supporters, Obama himself, etc. Just in case I need to respond. I’m trying really hard not to. :( QT

    I am not sure what happened…but as a nurse..I have some problems with the story…Something happened…but I question what she said “happened”…(1) Most young girls if SOMETHING or anything happened to their face would seek Immediate Medical Attention.(2) Is she working with the Campaign in Pa? or why is she in PA from Texas.(3) the “B” I am not sure about it- it is backwards, and shouldn’t there be bruise marks where her face was held ? and the B is very welldone-even though it is backwards,Knife Marks are ususally sharp, edged marks, this is soft fuzzy abraded marks ( like a Pumpkin carving tool would make or even a fingernail ?)(4) she claimed to fall forward, hit in the head from behind..yet she clearly has a shiner, that looks to be dark, 18 hours old…?yet not alot of swelling around the eye, and she fell on her eye? no swelling or bruising on her nose or chin?(5) there should still be some ATM footage of her getting her money…or footage from some shops near by….(6) as someone that has been mugged- usually they get what they want and leave..period…they don’t look at cars…there is too much that does not make sense..I hate to say that…but something smells…( for all we know her boyfriend did it and B stands for BITCH…)

The only explanation for the reverse “B” is that the victim herself took the photo while looking in a mirror.It will be VERY interesting to see how this shakes out!!

    Yeah, I call bullshit on this one.1) I find it quite odd that after robbing her at a bank ATM the robber didn’t run away immediately. Why did he hang around and why would he notice a McCain sticker given his, most likely, heightened state of Adrenalin?2) Why is the “B” backwards?3) Why is her blackeye not swollen or her eye not bloodshot?4) Why if the “B” was carved into her face is it not more of a traumatic looking injury, my tattoos looked worse and they were done with a tiny steril needle.

    She also has a lesser “black eye” on the other one. That could mean she got drunk and walked into a wall, injuring her nose enough to have that effect of blacking the eyes. Then some even more stupid friend thought up the cover–probably to keep daddy from finding out about getting drunk and spending all her money.And yeah, that’s the gentlest carving job by an adrenaline-choked politically motivated mugger who brings his own mirror that I’ve ever seen.
