This has nothing to do with the video, but I’m guessing McCain made his SNL appearance early in the program, right? Well, Texas and Texas Tech didn’t finish until about 11:50, and it was an incredible game.It wasn’t going to do anything anyway, but this blunts it even more.

Bing-fucking-O, Mr. Stranhan. It feels more like that JFK youth movement that started the Peace Corp and participation in the Civil Right Movement by Americans from all over the map and of all ethnicities. Which went great until LBJ took over and escalated the war and chaos overcame cooperation. The headlights of the cars are morning-hypnotic, like we all became as a nation. Very good use of that footage.

4 years ago I would’ve said that Iraq was my biggest issue. This time around, what Lee has just articulated is my biggest issue so thank you! It’s a pretty basic equation: If we as citizens are apathetic we WILL get raped by corporations who are working hard every day to take our money by pretty much any means necessary.Rage Against the Machine–my Tuesday soundtrack of choice– quote #1: “Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil? Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?”And I’m not going to say that all Republicans are without conscience or a moral standard, but for the most part, they definitely do go out of their way to appeal to the worst aspects of people (fear, greed, apathy, prejudice, the list goes on…) in order to gain, retain and enhance their power.Time to ante up and take some responsibility for ourselves and for our country.Rage Against the Machine quote #2: “You are the witness of change, and to counteractWe gotta take the power back”Obama/Biden 2008!
