I got the one on the left wrong too. I totally thought that was Patrick Leahy.

I recognized bottom right, but at first glance I thought the woman was Jackie Kennedy. When I knew it was supposed to be a Senator, it was easy. The dweeb in glasses is not a very good likeness, but an easy guess as well. As for the other guy, he got the hair all wrong, the nose, too, the chin isn’t bad…I’m confident that Barack Obama will be a great President. An editorial cartoonist? Well, Mr. President-elect, don’t give up your day job. Keep working at it if you have any spare time between saving the economy and restoring America’s greatness. The man can talk, the man can think, he can shoot baskets (3-pointers), he can draw… somewhat. Is there anything he CAN’T do? According to “Joe” the “Plumber”, he can tap dance like Sammy Davis Jr. Can he sing?

Oh, and watch the right-wing blogs go apeshit over the “Greek columns” again.

I know–when I first saw this, the first thing I thought wasn’t, “Who are these people?” or “That looks a lot like Edward Kennedy,” but “Damn. The guy can DRAW, too?”

When I saw the doodle, I knew right away where Obama gets his cartooning influence: The New Yorker.

It just occurred to me that the last president famed for doodling was none other than Ronald Reagan. I recall seeing some samples in one of those Scholastic magazines in about 4th or 5th grade…
