Our condolences to the Obamas and the Dunhams.

It’s such a shame that she won’t be around to witness tomorrow.

I feel so badly for the family. They need time in private to grieve and they won’t get it for days yet. :(

Just imagine, Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR, Kennedy…all there to congratulate Obama’s family on a job very well done.

You couldn’t write a tragic ending any better. Truth once again outdoes fiction.

I can only think of one way to properly salute this remarkable woman …

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh…………..That makes me incredibly sad. I wanted so badly for her to witness her grandson making history.I’m glad he was able to visit her one last time, however. I know that’s been important to me when losing loved ones.RIP Mrs. Dunham, and thank you for the incredible gift you gave us – your grandson and our next President.

It is terribly sad that Toot will not be around to physically watch tomorrows events. However, she will be watching and i’m sure with a sense of pride that few will ever feel. It is tragic though that this could not have happened two days later. Thoughts and prayers for the obama/dunham family.

Yes, it’s sad, but here’s the thing–at least she saw her grandson rise to heights no one in her family ever foresaw or thought possible. Pretty amazing thing, that; I’d guess that filled her with a sense of joy at the end . . .

I wish she had made it at least a few more days. RIP Toot.

Yes, terrible news and Obama’s big day tomorrow can only be bittersweet. That asshole Rush Limbaugh questioned Toot’s illness, as did Hannity. My warm thoughts go to Obama and his family. What a sad week for Illinois Senators.

How sad. My prayers go out to the Obama/Dunham family. And the Durbin family as well.

I truly believe that “Toot” is watching over her beloved grandson. That photo of a young Barack graduating from Punahu School (where, I believe he was a student of my dear Aunt Tsulan) says volumes. She was so very proud of him and I think she held on as long as she could. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I agree, she did a wonderful job raising an amazing individual.

Really bad news. It reads like it’s been a rather bumpy afternoon here. I’ve been out for a spell at DH. Spirits were high and people were pouring in the door. Seriously I couldn’t believe it!Bob, roll the thread brother, time to talk.

Part of me’s thinking that Toot held off dying long enough to know that her death wouldn’t affect her grandson while he was campaigning.
