UPDATE: If we reach $10,000 by midnight, I’ve agreed to post an entire chapter from my book (in stock now!) — free of charge in the handy pdf format. So in the spirit of the election and, you know, democracy, I thought I’d leave the choice of which chapter up to you. Make your choice based on the chapter titles in the poll below:

    Dang it…First of all, I’m notoriously spoiled. You can’t promise me one thing and then try to give me something else. I just can’t flip the script that fast.     Okay, another $10 in the pot. And although it may have my name on it, it’s not from me. My goddamn awesome kid…who canvassed with me for 4 hours this afternoon in the rain…gave me $10 out of his Wii game fund to donate to Obama. Because he doesn’t like war and heard Obama give a speech where he talked about giving teachers more money – and he wants his 3rd grade teacher to get a raise.

    Wow! I remember when this first came up!The goal was One Grand! I pitched in $15.00 which is a lot for me!Then it shot up and up and up!I shot in another $10.00 today when I got my Social Security! And I’m glad to do it!Now, I kid you not, I wouldn’t have done it except for Bob the Cesca! I certainly supported Obama anyway, but Bob the Cesca gave it a greater level of importance!Hats off to Bob! You’re a good man!
