Huh?

Matthew Rothschild, editor of The Progressive magazine:

“…if Obama really wanted change, if he really wanted to honor progressives who backed him early on and then did the grunt work against McCain, he’d nominate Dennis Kucinich as Secretary of State.”

All due respect, but in the blogosphere at least, progressives mostly backed John Edwards and Kucinich, and I recall specifically getting ripped to shreds when I recommended that progressives support Obama after Edwards dropped out.

More proof of revisionist history as these guys continue to talk out their asses. I seriously believe they just think we’re a bunch of stupid mooks who don’t remember or weren’t following along as things were happening.

I hava a Huh?What’s wrong with what he said, exactly? Do you not support a Kucinich appointment? I agree that Obama should recognize Kucinich’s contribution to his success.

As a Kucinich supporter, I can say no – not Sec. of St. No. How about head of that 9/11-style commission to investigate wrong-doing by BushCo.? Okay, so he wouldn’t be exactly objective….

Kucinich would be a disaster at State. I trust him in that role about as much as I trust Mickey Mouse in the same capacity.A Kucinich appointment somewhere domestic might have merits, but I would cry my heart out to see Kucinich in a foreign policy role.Um… separately, this is for Bob the Geek Cesca:http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn16086-interplanetary-internet-passes-first-test.htmlQT

Because Kucinich has such an impressive foreign policy portfolio? Pullleaze.

I agree with you about progressives backing Edwards and Kucinich early, but I’d love to see Kucinich taken seriously by the administration. He is fearless, smart, and knows his stuff.Maybe we could create a Secretary of Peace post and give that to him. He’s a good voice in Congress though, so maybe that would be a waste.
