Intellectual Violence

There’s a new batch of Facebook groups calling for the impeachment of Barack Obama. Steven D attempts to refute some of the comments from the groups, including this one:

Damn dems stole the election like they always do. GOD wanted McCain and Palin in the White House. That’s why it’s called THE WHITE HOUSE.

Um yeah.

For the last eight years we’ve had the most corrupt administration in modern history and this commenter wants to impeach someone who isn’t even the president yet — because it’s called the “White” House. He or she also has proof of God’s electoral preference, which makes him or her the most awesome pollster ever.

Yeah, refuting this is a lot like telling a meth tweaker that the shadow people aren’t real.

What we need is someone to infiltrate and add comments like, “Obama is a hobbit! I have proof!” and, “Investigate the moon landing!”

I nominate Elvis. He has sins to atone for here from last night. And would do an Awesome job of infiltration.

The proof of God’s Will is what it has always been – the actual outcome. The faithful can pray about, and debate the reasons for God’s choice, but they can’t deny that God dictated that this action happened over that one.Even if God “allowed” the “Dems” to “steal the election” (like they “always” do, except for when they don’t, like in 2000, and 2004.), the fact remains that God allowed it – unless we believe that the “Dems” are more powerful than God. I don’t personally believe this, but it is a question to put to this commenter.QT

I second the nomination of Elvis; but more because he can give those imbeciles the finest tongue-lashing in the history of tongue-lashings.I forgive you for last night’s snafu Elvis. ;-) And the projection regarding ‘Dems stealing the election like they always do’ is doubled-over, belly-clinching laughable to say the least.

This is what happens when your parents are brother and sister.

Sarah Palin said herself that God’s will will be done on election so…

  • cminri

I am actually surprised that people who think like this have computer skills and even know about Facebook.

QT is right. Throw it back in their faces. If God is all omnipotent and controls all, then God wanted the Democrats to win because he didn’t prevent it… if you believe that stuff. Their heads will spin! “Does not compute… does not compute…. BOOM!!”

On another note, I guess Pastor Muthee didn’t do enough exocizing of The Witches™ to get Palin into the White House. FRAUD! IMPOSTOR!

    THY WILL BE DONE, BITCHES!

Isn’t god suppose to love everyone? or something like that. I dont know the mythology.Mocking aside, this is what happens when your state is near rock bottom in education and the country as a whole is way way behind most of the modern world in education.Ignorance is the root of all evil.

  • dontpanic23

    >>”Ignorance is the root of all evil.”Not bad coming from someone in a state that’s probably just a notch either way of mine in education, JM. But both must be a notch higher than whatever Wasilla has going on if Palin is the shining poster person.

  • bjritz

Gov Sarah prayed for, and said she hoped for people to receive a revelation in the voting booth for whom they vote. I believe this occurred. Not the outcome she hoped would transcend reason and dignity.Infiltrating the fearistas is a great idea. Where do they blog? Just on face book?My own sister mentioned that she thought it was time for God’s judgment on America and that’s what happened. (she voted McCain)I believe it’s judgment, reason, thoughtfulness, progress and a revelation that the right wing is being wrung out.It won’t surprise me to see many attempts at impeachment for any misunderstood nuance of Obama’s actions.

DP – Kentucky is number 47 in the nation for education. Im not sure who the bottom 3 are. I believe NC is around 20.

  • dontpanic23

JM, I’ll eat your bunny slipper if we are that high. I think I’ve heard numbers closer to KY’s but can’t back it up. I’ll look around. (You’ll find it faster after the slipper remark, won’cha?).

  • Poleezz

You guys want to see something cool? Here’s what I’m up against. It was on u-tube much to my fucking embarrassment. The first lady is the Repulican and the second is the Democrat. They were running for County Clerk in Harrison Co. The young hot (Repub) babe won. Our clerk also handles the circuit courts. HEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP MEEEEEEEEEEE!

  • Poleezz

  • J M Ashby

Well im fresh out of bunny slippers DP, but I do have something else you could eat.I just looked it up actually. KY was 47 in 2006, for 2007 it was 31. NC for 2007 was 23. Alaska was 46.Poleez – Its the blowjob effect. Republican women rising to power on the merrit of their looks and their jesusness. Sarah Palin, Bachmann, et al.

  • Poleezz

What she didn’t tell you is that she didn’t see to it there were enough ballots at the polls. They had to be ordered 4 times during the election. Maybe she was making that fucking apple butter ech? ech? The Democrat, well, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…I have no words.

  • J M Ashby

Atleast Obama won your state Poleezz. Thats something to be proud of.Not only did Obama lose Kentucky, but we still have McConnell in office. Its embarassing.

  • dontpanic23

Damn. I was slow on the Googles. I’m blown away (and that’s not commenting on your comment!–oh, check your inbox for a reply that will give bunny slippers some context) that NC isn’t about the same. My kids’ schools truly sucked and fortunately they had books and internet at home to improve on that crap, along with an obsessive urge from my older one to challenge teachers who were dumb–and the principals who were even dumber, as in too dumb to teach.

We have got to raise the bar. The position pays a decent salary for this area anyway.

  • Poleezz

Oh one more thing…I wouldn’t be surprised if one of those facebooks originated from here. We are going to have to clean up the act from the bottom up JM.

  • bajasteve

Poleezz – In this instance, I think I’d have to say that the Republican candidate is just ‘way more capable and articulate in just about every way. The Dem candidate sounds like she barely made it out of 5th grade (and had to cheat to do that well). Unless and until the Dems field qualified, intelligent candidates in situations like this, it’s gonna be epic fail every time.

  • J M Ashby

    See you all later tonight.

  • Poleezz

Uhhhhhhh…yep yep yep. Baja, my point exactly. I will also say this; this R is a loser as well. I looked at her resume. Other than making apple butter, NOTHING. ZERO. ZIP. She’s incompetent.

  • KatinWilm

Infiltration is the only way to deal with type of argument – infiltrate and cause infighting and confusion. It is completely impossible to use a logical argument with those who “believe.” Whenever I attempt to have some sort of intellectual debate with my Southern Baptist brother, when he gets too uncomfortable with the subject, he just crosses his arms and tells me it’s his “faith” and “what he believes” and ends the conversation. I mean, power to him – I have faith myself – but at least I think about mine from time to time. We also have to remember that their version of God apparently is okay with bombing abortion clinics, ’cause, you know, that’s justified.

  • PackyJ

Fuck infiltrating them.I want to sell them Robot Insurance.

  • bluegoose

Hey, let’s not stretch the definition of ‘intellectual’ all out of recognition here… I just have the feeling that I’m reading the scripts of future ‘Hannity and Colmes’ shows.

  • CupcakeCult

Isn’t it scary? I had my own scare yesterday. I was talking about “Faux News” with my mother and she blurts this gem out, “Nobody can tell me that Bill O’Reilly is biased!” I shit you not. I was shocked and told her he was the most biased (a step down from Limbaugh) and she gets all indignant and saays “Have you ever watched his show? Have you ever watched his show?” Yes Mom. ARGH! She made me so mad. Anyway, I love Maddow and Olbermann but I can at least recognize that they do have a bias. I ask myself every day “where did I come from?” My mom isn’t a stupid person she just has blinders on!We need a support group for progressives that have conservative families.

  • Poleezz

I have the exact opposite problem you have Cup. I have a daughter and a son-in-law that are so right I can’t stand to be around them. My daughter and I can’t even mention politics, but my in law is a big mouth shithead like Rush. It’s impossible.

  • Tracy Adams

“Damn dems stole the election like they always do. GOD wanted McCain and Palin in the White House. That’s why it’s called THE WHITE HOUSE.”I’m elated that there are real forces at work in America which are stronger and more capable than the above schmuck’s god.

  • 24hourjack

if bush can torture and lie and bomb his way through eight filthy, greasy, shameful, embarassing, constitution shredding years with barely a whiff of impeachment talk-save for the great dennis kucinich-president obama will have to start burning down orphanages and robbing banks before anyone will take these bubbleheads seriously.however, this is exactly why its absolutely crucial to continue to gain and hang onto every possible seat in senate and the house.believe me,they will pull a Kenneth Star if they get the chance.we cannot allow these dark lords of douchebaggery even the tiniest sliver of an opening.they will slither right through it.

  • 24hourjack

infiltration…i was on one of their favorite blogs the day after the election.i felt the need to gloat and just kinda be a d**k.it took about twelve minutes and three postings to get these ass scholars arguing over which of THEM were racist.also, theyre still especially touchy about the whole joe the plumber situation.
